Bucks County Office

Brooks’s academic and college advising is informed by his background as a classroom teacher in an elite private school, private academic advisor, and educational researcher. After graduating with a degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania, he taught English academic writing and public speaking at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey. After returning to the U.S., he earned a master's degree in history from Georgetown University before returning to the classroom as a teacher in an elite private high school.

After four years of classroom teaching, Brooks’s passion for teaching and learning led him to pursue a PhD in educational psychology. A talented and passionate educator, Brooks has found that college counseling gives him the chance to fully immerse himself in the kind of work that he truly loves: mentoring young people and helping them unlock their true potential. While Brooks actively follows the latest research developments in educational psychology, college counseling allows him to directly apply his knowledge of child development and learning science to help students reach their peak academic performance.
